The Chicago Bandits (26-8) beat the USSSA Pride (24-11) 6-1 in eight innings on Tuesday at Osceola Co Stadium behind Megan Wiggins, who went 2-4 and hit a home run.
She homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.Monica Abbott struck out eight hitters en route to the the Chicago Bandits win. Abbott allowed one earned run, six hits and no walks over seven innings.
Kristyn Sandberg was hot from the plate for the USSSA Pride. Sandberg went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. She homered in the second inning.
Blaire Luna pitched lights out for the USSSA Pride. Luna held the Chicago Bandits hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Sarah Pauly was charged with her fourth loss of the year. She allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out two.
