A walk-off sacrifice fly from Kyle Kuck brought home the winning run for the Hannibal Cavemen (17-20) in a 4-3 victory over the Terre Haute Rex (20-19) in 10 innings at Clemens Field on Thursday.
Kuck paced the Hannibal Cavemen at the plate. Kuck went 2-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Jonathon Wandling pitched lights out for the Hannibal Cavemen. Wandling held the Terre Haute Rex hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Wes Judish got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Judish struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.
Ben Mahar (0-2) took the loss for the Terre Haute Rex. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
