Wampler's single gives the Terre Haute Rex walk-off win over the Hannibal Cavemen, 3-2

A walk-off single from Tyler Wampler brought home the winning run for the Terre Haute Rex (18-12) in a 3-2 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen (13-16) in 10 innings at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad on Tuesday.

Wampler racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the third, sixth, and tenth innings.

John Patterson looked sharp on the mound. The Hannibal Cavemen managed just three hits off of Patterson, who allowed two earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Bryan Nacke recorded his first win of the year for the Terre Haute Rex. Nacke struck out four, walked two and gave up no hits.

Devontae Wilson (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed one run.
