Ian Happ had two extra base hits, sparking the Harwich Mariners (23-19) to a 5-1 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (14-29) on Sunday at Whitehouse Field.

Tyler Burgess struck out four hitters en route to the the Harwich Mariners win. The Harwich Mariners' pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.

The Harwich Mariners couldn't get anything going so long as David Gibson was on the hill. Gibson held the Harwich Mariners hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Dylan Toscano (1-5) took the loss for the Brewster Whitecaps. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

The Harwich Mariners were sparked by Happ and Nick Howard, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
