The Cotuit Kettleers (17-10) jumped on the Wareham Gatemen (5-21) early on their way to a 5-3 win on Sunday at Spillane Field, scoring four runs in the first inning.

Rhett Wiseman had two extra-base hits for the Cotuit Kettleers. He tripled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Patrick Corbett pitched lights out for the Cotuit Kettleers. The Wareham Gatemen managed just two hits off of Corbett, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Wareham Gatemen's Brett Pirtle. Pirtle went 3-5. He singled in the first, third, and ninth innings.

Trey Killian (0-3) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
