The Rockford Aviators (29-47) and the Schaumburg Boomers (45-31) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Rockford Aviators capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-1 win at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

Edgar Corcino had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Jesus Del Rosario improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockford Aviators. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Chris Phelan was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
