Gerard Hall collected three hits as the Schaumburg Boomers (33-28) took home a 6-5 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (37-23) at Schaumburg Baseball Stadium on Saturday.
He singled in the second and fourth innings and tripled in the sixth inning.The Gateway Grizzlies couldn't get anything going so long as Adam Tollefson was on the hill. Tollefson held the Gateway Grizzlies hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Jonathan Johnson led the Gateway Grizzlies' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second innings and singled in the fifth inning.
Brett Higginbotham (1-3) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
