The Lake Erie Crushers (31-29) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 3-2 ballgame against the River City Rascals (29-31) on Saturday at All Pro Freight Stadium.
While the Lake Erie Crushers led until the fifth inning, the River City Rascals worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Danny Canela.
Craig Goodman picked up the win for the River City Rascals. Goodman pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out three.
Adam Beach ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
