After six lead changes in Saturday's game at UC Health Stadium, the Frontier Greys (10-15) finally pulled out a 6-3 win over the Florence Freedom (14-12).
The Frontier Greys finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Brock McCallister scored Calvin Anderson and gave the Frontier Greys the lead for good.
Balbino Fuenmayor had a hot bat for the Frontier Greys. Fuenmayor went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.
Junior Arrojo reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Alfonso Cardenas recorded his first win of the year for the Frontier Greys. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Brandon Mathes (0-4) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
