Luke Vandermaten kept the Waterloo Bucks (4-4) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Duluth Huskies (7-2) beat the Waterloo Bucks, 4-0.

Vandermaten struck out four and allowed three walks and three hits.

Brad Wilson boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Duluth Huskies. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Despite the loss, the Waterloo Bucks' Taylor Byrd dominated the Duluth Huskies' batters, giving up two runs and striking out five.

Byrd couldn't get it done on the bump for the Waterloo Bucks, taking a loss.
