The Waterloo Bucks (4-2) shut the door early on the Alexandria Blue Anchors (1-5), capturing a 9-1 victory on Monday at Riverfront Stadium-Waterloo,IA.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Waterloo Bucks left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A groundout by Kevin Needham, an RBI single by Jake Mahon, and a groundout by Gerrion Grim III during the first inning fueled the Waterloo Bucks' offense early.

The Waterloo Bucks were led by a flawless day at the dish by Mahon, who went 2-2 against the Alexandria Blue Anchors' pitching.
