The Bridgeport Bluefish fall 12-2 at the hands of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs

The Bridgeport Bluefish (13-20) had a tough outing on Thursday, as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (15-19) dominated in a 12-2 win at Harbor Yard.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored six runs in the second on a single by Jose Julio-Ruiz, a sacrifice fly by Cyle Hankerd, a fielder's choice, a double by Jeremy Owens, an error, , and a two-run double by Wladimir Sutil.

The Bridgeport Bluefish couldn't slow down Ryan Mulhern, who paced the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs with five hits. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and ninth innings.

Michael Ballard kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Bridgeport Bluefish batters. Ballard allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

The Bridgeport Bluefish were led by Luis Rodriguez's hitting. Rodriguez went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Mike Parisi (1-4) took the loss for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
