The Sugar Land Skeeters (2-0) jumped on the Long Island Ducks (0-2) early on their way to a 4-1 win on Friday at Constellation Field, Sugar Land, scoring three runs in the first inning.

A three-run home run by Josh Pressley delivered the runs in the first. The Sugar Land Skeeters had one hit in the inning.

Pressley racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Sugar Land Skeeters.

The Long Island Ducks couldn't get anything going so long as Jason Lane was on the hill. The Long Island Ducks managed just three hits off of Lane, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

John Brownell (0-1) took the loss for the Long Island Ducks. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
