Three first-inning runs helped the D.C. Grays (7-7) to a 4-1 win over the Bethesda Big Train (12-4) at Hoy Field on Wednesday.
The D.C. Grays were led by Harrison Farmer's hitting. Farmer went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Colin Kelly picked up the win for the D.C. Grays. Kelly pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and no walks while striking out three.
Zach Morris (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
