A walk-off from Joe Dorsey brought home the winning run for the Gaithersburg Giants (1-1) in a 6-5 victory over the Alexandria Aces in 10 innings at Criswell Automotive Field on Sunday.

Brandon Grove had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third inning.

Robin Mowatt got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Mowatt struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Tyler Fries (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Gaithersburg Giants were sparked by Collin Shaw and Grove, who teamed up for three hits and two RBIs.
