Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Tuesday as the Dirty Dozen (24-3) outscored the MCI three (19-6) 10-9 in seven innings.
The teams totaled 40 hits in the game.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to seven lead changes in the game.
Ryan Wood was hot from the plate for the Dirty Dozen. Wood went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.
James Burns did his best to jumpstart the offense for the MCI three, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Even though Mark Pastrana allowed nine runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Pastrana struck out one, walked four and gave up 18 hits.
Manuel Macedo (3-1) took the loss for the MCI three. He allowed 10 runs in six innings, walked one and struck out none.
