A nine-run explosion in the fourth inning carried the one 800 CHIMNEY (14-14) to a 17-5 win in six innings over the Goodfellas Gatto (15-11) at Firemans Field one on Monday.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with 15 lead changes.
Dave Clark racked up three RBIs on four hits for the one 800 CHIMNEY. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third and sixth innings.
Tom Flynn paced the Goodfellas Gatto at the plate. Flynn went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Even though Freddy Oneil allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out one, walked eight and surrendered 10 hits.
Juan Rodriguez ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed 17 runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out none.
The one 800 CHIMNEY hammered the Goodfellas Gatto pitching as nine hitters had a field day, combining for 21 hits, 17 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
