Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Poles Holes tidewaters (24-2) outscored the Bears Beats Battlestar (14-13) 14-13 in seven innings.

The teams totaled 42 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

The Poles Holes tidewaters got their bats going early, scoring five runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Bears Beats Battlestar.

Joe Cardanialle had two extra-base hits for the Poles Holes tidewaters. He doubled in the first and second innings and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Frank lalima got his ninth win for the Poles Holes tidewaters despite allowing 13 runs over seven innings. Lalima struck out four, walked two and gave up 21 hits.

Matt Thix couldn't get it done on the mound for the Bears Beats Battlestar, taking a loss. He allowed 14 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.

Cardanialle, lalima, Lou hursh and Kristy Spradley helped lead the Poles Holes tidewaters. They combined for 13 hits and eight RBIs.
