The BALLS DEEP (17-8) jumped out to an early lead on the Sleestacks (15-10) and captured a 16-5 victory on Friday at Shorefront.

Twelve runs in the first three innings allowed the BALLS DEEP to put the game away early.

A single by Bill Beisler, , an RBI single by Anthony Ambrazzo, an RBI single by JC Hood, a three-run triple by Rob Gerdts, and an RBI single by JJ Dimucci during the first inning and an RBI single by Danny Tew, an RBI single by Jamie Taylor, an RBI single by Ambrazzo, a fielder's choice, and a sacrifice fly by Hood in the second inning supplied the early offense for the BALLS DEEP.

Gerdts racked up four RBIs on two hits for the BALLS DEEP.

Kevin McDowell went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Sleestacks. He singled in the first and third innings.

Taylor recorded his eighth win for the BALLS DEEP even though he allowed five runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Dave Tellerman was charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed 16 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.

The BALLS DEEP easily handled the Sleestacks pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
