The Tulsa Braves (1-1) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the St. Joseph Mustangs (2-0) captured a blowout 8-2 win at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The St. Joseph Mustangs scored three runs in the first on a two-run triple by Mark Robinette and a groundout by Tanner Lubach.

Robinette went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the St. Joseph Mustangs.

The St. Joseph Mustangs relied on Aaron Baker to eat up innings en route to the win. Baker allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.

MICHAEL KIRKLAND (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
