The Kitchener Panthers fend off the London Majors' late push, hold on 6-5

The London Majors (0-3) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Kitchener Panthers (3-0), and the London Majors lost 6-5 to the Kitchener Panthers after falling behind by five runs in the third inning.

The London Majors scored on a groundout by Chris Stewart in the third inning, a two-run home run by Steve Froese in the fourth inning, a solo home run by Byron Reichstein in the sixth inning, and an RBI double by Paul LaMantia in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, the London Majors weren't able to take the lead back.

Mike Glinka racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Kitchener Panthers. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

A bright spot for the London Majors in the defeat was Mike Henry, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Kyle McKay improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Kitchener Panthers. He allowed three runs over five innings. McKay struck out six, walked three and gave up five hits.

Chris Chambers (0-1) took the loss for the London Majors. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out three.
