Hillary Bach held the Brakettes (0-2) scoreless for five innings to boost the Akron Racers (2-0) to a 5-3 victory.

Bach struck out four and allowed no walks and six hits.

Brianna Hesson rocked the Brakettes with two home runs. Hesson went 2-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Hesson homered in the second and eighth innings.

Rachele Fico ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 7 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
