The Beer Run (14-6) trailed by eight in the first, but the Beer Run recovered thanks to a key sacrifice fly in the third inning from Jeff Bournshine to pull out a 23-14 win in seven innings over the Soccer Moms (11-10) at Tanglewood on Saturday.

The Beer Run were led by a flawless day at the dish by Bournshine, who went 4-4 against the Soccer Moms' pitching. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 37 total runs and 54 hits during the game.
The Beer Run blew out the Soccer Moms thanks to 31 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Beer Run scored seven runs in the fourth on , , , a single by Bournshine, and a single by Josh Barter.
Romano put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Beer Run. He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the first, fourth, and fifth innings.
Romano recorded his first win for the Beer Run even though he allowed 14 runs over seven innings. Romano struck out three, walked three and gave up 23 hits.
Matt Galante (0-2) took the loss for the Soccer Moms. He allowed 23 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out none.
The Beer Run hammered the Soccer Moms pitching as nine hitters had a field day, combining for 31 hits, 12 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
