Garillo's big day not enough as the Full Blown fall to the Burners, 15-13

Story by Narrative Science.

The Full Blown (4-10) failed to take advantage of Adam Garillo's effort at the plate on Friday, losing 15-13 to the Burners (16-3) in seven innings at 12 Pines.

Garillo racked up eight RBIs on three hits for the Full Blown. He homered in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 28 total runs and 50 hits during the game.

The Burners would not relinquish the lead as the Full Blown were unable to weather a seven-run fifth inning deficit.

The Full Blown scored on a home run by Garillo and a single by Brian Gil in the fifth inning, a single by Isidro Gonzalez in the sixth inning, and an RBI single by Bill Kelly in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, the Full Blown weren't able to take the lead back.

Brian Burke racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Burners. He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the third and fifth innings, and tripled in the seventh inning.

John Keeley got his eighth win for the Burners despite allowing 13 runs over seven innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 23 hits.

Kelly was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed 15 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out none.

The Burners pounded the Full Blown pitching, as seven hitters combined for 22 hits, nine RBIs and 12 runs scored.
