Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Blue Devils (5-8) outscored the momos (2-15) 14-13 in seven innings.
The two teams combined for 51 hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.
The Blue Devils would not relinquish the lead as the momos were unable to weather a six-run third inning deficit.
The momos scored on an RBI single by Eric Resnick, an RBI single by Chris Michell, an RBI single by Anthony Lobaso, and an RBI single by Jeff Dipiero in the third inning and an RBI single by Resnick, an RBI single by Michell, an RBI single by Lobaso, an RBI single by Dipiero, and an RBI single by Anthony Capuano in the fourth inning. Despite their efforts, the momos couldn't get over the hump.
John P Reischman racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Blue Devils. He singled in the first, second, third, and fourth innings.
Even though Gary Wisnieski allowed 13 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 25 hits.
Michell (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 14 runs in seven innings, walked none and struck out none.
The Blue Devils easily handled the momos pitching as seven hitters combined for 24 hits, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
