The Scarab Jewelers (8-6) had a tough outing on Friday, as the Burners (12-2) dominated in a 14-7 win in seven innings at Bellport.

The Burners scored six runs in the third on an RBI single by Chris Nese, a two-run double by Bart Prachman, a triple by Rick Hauptman, and a three-run double by Brian Burke.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with six lead changes.

John Keeley racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Burners. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and homered in the sixth inning.

Andrew Zaglas boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Scarab Jewelers. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

The Burners pounded the Scarab Jewelers pitching, as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 12 RBIs and nine runs scored.
