The Kitchener Panthers sixth-inning burst enough to top the Hamilton Cardinals, 15-7

The Kitchener Panthers (12-13) rolled over the Hamilton Cardinals (5-21) 15-7 on Friday at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium after an eight-run rally in the sixth inning.

Mat Taube had three extra-base hits for the Kitchener Panthers. He tripled in the first and third innings, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The Hamilton Cardinals couldn't get anything going so long as Adam Lentz was on the hill. Lentz held the Hamilton Cardinals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Chris Piano was solid at the plate for the Hamilton Cardinals. Piano went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Adam Echlin got his second win for the Kitchener Panthers despite allowing five runs over six innings. Echlin struck out three, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Tim Black (1-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.

The Kitchener Panthers hammered the Hamilton Cardinals pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 17 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
