Tom Flynn hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the STONED SOUP (7-6) to a win on Sunday, as the STONED SOUP fell to the Excel Aire1 (13-1) 25-12 in seven innings.
Bobby Horan racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Excel Aire1. He homered in the third and fourth innings and singled in the seventh inning.
Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 37 runs and 42 hits, including zero extra base hits.
The Excel Aire1 didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Excel Aire1 scored three runs in the final one innings to cap the blowout win. The Excel Aire1 scored nine runs in the second on , a two-run double by Frank Difranco, a two-run single by Bob Carroll, a three-run home run by Mike McCafery, and a solo home run by Anthony Procoplo.
Even though Procoplo allowed 12 runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his ninth of the season. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered 17 hits.
Chris Heinckle was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 25 runs in six innings, walked seven and struck out none.
The Excel Aire1 easily handled the STONED SOUP pitching as 10 hitters combined for 25 hits, 22 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
