The colt 45s (17-6) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the seventh inning, on the way to a 16-7 landslide win over the NWO LIE (6-15) at Levitt Field.

The colt 45s scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Mike Mortilla, an RBI single by Adam Sznitken, an RBI single by Ryan Stillman, and an RBI single by Chris Ortiz.

The colt 45s were led by a flawless day at the dish by Mortilla, who went 5-5 against the NWO LIE's pitching.

It was a good day at the plate for the NWO LIE's Joe Arana. Arana went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.

Ortiz got his second win for the colt 45s despite allowing seven runs over seven innings. Ortiz struck out one, walked four and gave up 14 hits.

Neil Farbman was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 16 runs in seven innings, walked nine and struck out two.

The colt 45s hammered the NWO LIE pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 14 hits, 13 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
