The Toronto Maple Leafs fend off the Burlington Twins' late push, hold on 5-4

The Burlington Twins (11-23) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Toronto Maple Leafs (17-16), and the Burlington Twins lost 5-4 to the Toronto Maple Leafs after falling behind by three runs in the seventh inning.

The Burlington Twins scored on a groundout by Connor Panas in the eighth inning and a two-run home run by Jamie Lekas in the ninth inning. Still, the Burlington Twins couldn't catch the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Glenn Jackson went a perfect 4-4 at the dish for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Clay Caulfield got the win for the Toronto Maple Leafs thanks to seven strikeouts. Caulfield allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks over eight innings.

Lekas racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Burlington Twins.

Jordell Farquharson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
