The Santa Maria Packers survive the California Glory rally, escape with 4-3 victory

The California Glory (9-8) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Santa Maria Packers on Friday, as the California Glory fell 4-3 at Allen Hancock College after falling behind by four runs in the third inning.

The California Glory scored on a two-run home run by Josh Grijalva in the fourth inning and a solo home run by Wade Morton in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the California Glory couldn't finish the comeback.

It was a good day at the plate for the Santa Maria Packers' clark. Clark went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, third, fifth, and eighth innings.

Grijalva racked up two RBIs on one hit for the California Glory.

martin got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over five innings. Martin struck out five, walked two and gave up five hits.

Josh Schuller (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just eight innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
