A superb effort by Matt Hirsch carried the Poles Holes tidewaters (9-0) to a 7-5 win in seven innings over the The Iron Bulls (2-2) on Saturday at Knights of Columbus Deer Park.

Hirsch blasted two home runs for the Poles Holes tidewaters. Hirsch went 2-3 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Hirsch homered in the first and sixth innings.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to six lead changes in the game.

Dan DeFalco was hot from the plate for the The Iron Bulls. DeFalco went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.

Even though Joe Cardinale allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.

Anthony was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked four and struck out none.
