Matt Stiffler enters his third professional season and first with New Jersey in 2010.

The 24-year-old was acquired by the Jackals this offseason from the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League, where he batted .296 with 13 doubles and 11 RBIs while playing all three outfield positions and first base, and committing just three errors in 51 games in the field. After being selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 27th round of the 2008 draft, Stiffler spent the ’08 campaign with the Rookie-Level Billings Mustangs where he batted .225 and drove in 15 runs in 26 games.

Prior to being drafted, the Bellbrook, OH native starred at Ohio University where he set school single-season records with 91 hits and 75 runs scored as a senior while posting a .354 average and 18 home runs.
