The 23-year-old right hander appeared in two games for the Wild Things last season before signing with the Philadelphia Phillies organization in mid-August.The former Delaware State University Hornet, who is from Lincoln, DE, tossed two shutout innings in his professional baseball debut with the Gulf Coast League Phillies on August 18th.  Elliott did not allow a run while pitching the fifth and sixth innings in relief. He gave up one hit and struck out one without allowing a walk. Elliott ranks as one of the Hornet’s all-time great pitchers. He completed his Hornet baseball career as the team’s all-time leader in wins and innings pitched, while ranking third in strikeouts.
