A 31st Round selection by the Minnesota Twins in the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, Robinson instead elected to attend USC where he turned in a solid 2013 freshman campaign. Robinson, an athletic outfielder, batted .242 (40-for-165) with 22 runs scored, three doubles, four triples, one home run, 23 RBI and three stolen bases in 47 games (46 starts).
Prior to USC, Robinson was a three-year varsity baseball letter winner at Ocean View High School in California. As a senior, Robinson was named an All-American, All-CIF Division III, All-Orange County and the Golden West League MVP.
Robinson’s older brother, Alex Burnett, is currently a relief pitcher for the Minnesota Twins.
