Walters is a St. Francis alumnus who played in six games last season for the Slammers. After he completed his senior year for St. Francis in 2011, Walters was named to the NAIA Baseball All-America Second Team, as selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Selection Committee. Walters topped the Saints with a .380 batting average and 56 RBI.
