Adam Oller begins his first season in Windy City and fourth as a pro in 2019. He signed with the team on January 4, 2019. He was selected in the 20th round of the 2016 amateur entry draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and pitched three years in the Pirates system, peaking at High A Bradenton in 2018. In 59 games with the Pirates (16 starts) he went 10-10 with a 4.47 ERA. He struck out 164 and walked only 42 in his 173 career innings. Adam attended Northwestern State University in Louisiana and compiled a 20-7 record over three years with a 2.03 ERA. He went 8-1 with a 1.23 ERA as a junior in 2015. He went to Concordia Lutheran High School in Spring, Texas.
