Beardsley is from Tehachapi, Calif. and returned to the Otters in 2019. In 2019, Beardsley went 9-4 with a 2.56 ERA and 116 strikeouts in 130.0 innings pitched and 20 starts. Beardsley was also the recipient of the 2019 Frontier League Fran Riordan Citizenship Award for his involvement in community outreach. During the 2019-20 offseason, the right-hander pitched in Australia for the Adelaide Giants, making three starts, posting a 1.59 ERA, and striking out 20 in 17 innings. The California native pitched during the 2020-21 offseason in Australia for the Melbourne Aces, going 2-2 with a 4.19 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 34.1 innings. He also tossed one complete game out of his seven starts. Beardsley's Melbourne Aces squad was the 2020-21 Australian Baseball League Champions, and Beardsley was the championship game MVP after allowing only one run in six innings. Beardsley was drafted by the Minnesota Twins organization in the 16th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur draft out of California State University Sacramento. In 2016-17, Beardsley spent time with the Cedar Rapid Kernels, Elizabethton Twins and the GCL Twins. In those two years with the Minnesota Twins organization, Beardsley was 7-11 with a 4.32 ERA in 30 appearances with 27 starts. He also had 94 strikeouts in 150.0 innings pitched.
