Cartrett was a three-time all-region selection and was an honor graduate from Strom Thurmond High School.  He is attending college to become a physical therapist and is majoring in exercise science.  His favorite player is Clayton Kershaw and roots for the Chicago Cubs.  Cartrett enjoys fishing, drawing and listening to any kind of music.  The Harry Potter series is his go-to movie and watches the Walking Dead.  He is infamous for being the class clown. Cartrett was redshirted his first year in college.  In his true freshman year, he threw three innings, struck out two and hasn’t allowed a run.
