The Worcester Tornadoes (18-43) took the last of seven lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Rockland Boulders (33-28), securing a 9-5 victory on Sunday at Provident Bank Park.

Johnny Welch put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Worcester Tornadoes. He doubled in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.

Qualon Millender had a hot bat for the Rockland Boulders. Millender went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fourth, and ninth innings.

Kevin Cooper got his fourth win for the Worcester Tornadoes despite allowing five runs over eight innings. Cooper struck out seven, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Gustavo Chacin (1-1) took the loss for the Rockland Boulders. He allowed seven runs in eight innings, walked one and struck out two.

Alex Nunez, Welch, Chris Torres and Cam Kneeland helped lead the Worcester Tornadoes. They combined for nine hits and six RBIs.
