The Quebec offense too much for the Worcester in 9-3 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Quebec (11-6) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Worcester (7-10), recording a 9-3 victory on Thursday at Le Stade Municipal.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Quebec left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An error, a two-run single by Rene Leveret, and a single by Josue Peley during the first inning and a two-run single by Jonathan Malo and a fielder's choice in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Quebec.

Robert Wagner reached base two times in the game for the Quebec. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the seventh inning.

John Mariotti's eight strikeouts helped the Quebec to the victory. Mariotti allowed one earned run on six hits and no walks over seven innings.

Jerod Edmondson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Worcester. He homered in the eighth inning.

Ryan Bicondoa (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked one and struck out two.
