The Laredo Lemurs (25-31) and the Wichita Wingnuts (34-23) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Laredo Lemurs that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-3 win at Uni-Trade Stadium.
Anthony Scelfo did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Laredo Lemurs, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.
The Wichita Wingnuts were led by David Peralta's hitting. Peralta went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and sixth innings and doubled in the eighth inning.
Ryan Sasaki recorded his second win of the year for the Laredo Lemurs. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Sasaki struck out one, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Anthony Capra (0-1) took the loss for the Wichita Wingnuts. He lasted just four innings, walked seven, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
