Rod Scurry kept the El Paso Diablos (10-28) off the board during his eight innings of work and the Sioux Falls Pheasants (20-18) beat the El Paso Diablos, 11-0.

Scurry struck out five and allowed one walk and eight hits.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Sioux Falls Pheasants scored four runs in the final three innings to cap the blowout win. A two-run double by Cesar Nicolas and a two-run double by Mark Shorey helped the Sioux Falls Pheasants score four runs in the eighth. The Sioux Falls Pheasants had four hits in the inning.

Nicolas racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Sioux Falls Pheasants.

Edgar Garcia ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
