The Weyburn Beavers (7-12) and the Melville Millionaires (11-9) passed the lead back and forth seven times on Sunday at Tom Laing Park, but in the end the Weyburn Beavers pulled out a 7-5 win over the Melville Millionaires.
Dustin Silva did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Weyburn Beavers, reaching base three times. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Kurtis McCallum got his first win for the Weyburn Beavers despite allowing five runs over 7 2/3 innings. McCallum struck out six, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Michael Medina was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.
