The River City Rascals (29-26) jumped on the Florence Freedom (28-27) early on their way to a 10-7 win on Thursday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark, scoring four runs in the first inning.

Matt Serna racked up two RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He doubled in the first innings and singled in the third innings.

Eddie Rodriguez racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Florence Freedom. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Preston Vancil improved to 3-6 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Maxx Catapano (4-2) took the loss for the Florence Freedom. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
