Spencer ONeil brought home the winning run to give the Walla Walla Sweets (9-13) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Walla Walla Sweets hung on to beat the Bend Elks (9-11) 6-2 on Wednesday.

After Brett Jacobs doubled, ONeil came to the plate with the score tied at two in the eighth inning, and, plating Jacobs.

ONeil had a hot bat for the Walla Walla Sweets. ONeil went 2-2 and scored three runs. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Ryan Cooper got on base three times in the game for the Walla Walla Sweets. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the seventh inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Shawn OBrien racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bend Elks. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

DJ Smith improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Walla Walla Sweets. Smith struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Trevor Hildenberger couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Bend Elks, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
