The Wenatchee AppleSox (17-3) trailed by three in the sixth, but the Wenatchee AppleSox recovered thanks to a key triple in the ninth inning from Ty Moore to pull out a 6-4 win over the Kitsap BlueJackets (6-19) at Kitsap Fairgrounds and Special on Wednesday.
With the score tied at four in the ninth inning, Moore came to the plate and tripled, scoring Jeff Stephens and Mitchell Gunsolus.
Moore racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He singled in the seventh innings and tripled in the ninth inning.
Stephen Ventimilia led the Wenatchee AppleSox's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
It was a good day at the plate for the Kitsap BlueJackets' Rhys Hoskins. Hoskins went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.
K.J. Edson recorded his second win of the year for the Wenatchee AppleSox. Edson struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Danny Thomson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
