The Bend Elks cough up lead, the Kitsap BlueJackets win 11-7

Down five runs in the sixth, the Kitsap BlueJackets (6-14) recovered thanks to Jerad Casper's solo home run in the seventh, and pulled out a 11-7 win over the Bend Elks (8-6) on Thursday at Vince Genna Stadium.

With the score tied at seven in the seventh inning, Casper came to the plate and homered.

Casper had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the fourth inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Tommy Pluschkell got on base three times in the game for the Bend Elks. He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Barry Timko got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Brandon Snyder was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

Frankie Torres, Daniel Jewett, Rhys Hoskins and Casper helped lead the Kitsap BlueJackets. They combined for eight hits and five RBIs.
