Richard Riccardi went 3-3 at the plate as the Toronto Rush (1-0) took home a 3-1 victory over the British Columbia Bombers (1-1) in seven innings at Palm Springs Stadium on Friday.

He singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.

The British Columbia Bombers had no answer for Alex Brosnan, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The British Columbia Bombers managed just two hits off of Brosnan, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Alan Rombkowski had an impressive outing against the Toronto Rush's lineup. The Toronto Rush managed just two hits off of Rombkowski, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Scotty Ward was charged with the loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
