Towns helps the Schaumburg Boomers down the Washington Wild Things 6-4

Kenny Towns knocked in three runs, sparking the Schaumburg Boomers (20-17) to a 6-4 victory over the Washington Wild Things (19-17) on Friday at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium.

He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Nick Ferdinand racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Sam Agnew-Wieland had an impressive outing against the Schaumburg Boomers' lineup. Agnew-Wieland held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Scott Schultz improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Schultz struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits.

Matt Fraudin ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out six.
